The one thing I suggest about tablet drawing is to use long, sweeping strokes rather than the sketchy searching lines like you would use with a pencil. Tablets pick up the shake of your hand too well.

What program do you use? it has a nice anti alias with the lines which is something that i found for myself is needed C: for me the eraser is your friend and i tend to sketch out roughly on one layer and use another for the lineart making the line thicker in places where there would be more shadow, like at the bottom of the chin and in places in the hair, i hope this has helped, stick at it!
